Pilates is a highly recognised form of exercise suitable for all ages and physical abilities, and is now recommended by many health organisations, such as NHS, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors and Osteopaths.  It focusses on strengthening the ‘core’ muscles of the body leading to a stronger muscular support system for our spine and joints.

Originally designed for dancers and athletes, Pilates is now accessible to anyone wanting to improve their overall strength, mobility and flexibility.  It is particularly effective for back-pain and other joint issues, helping to align the body and keep ‘stiff-joints’ mobile by performing a set of safe and effective exercises.  Exercises can be adapted to suit each individuals needs, recognising that we are all different and that ‘one-size’ does not fit all!

Pilates is a superb addition to everyones life-style, from the less active to those already active.  It is a prefect compliment to fitness activities and sports, such as running, cycling, swimming and weight-training, helping to build a strong ‘core’ foundation within the body.
